MFM. Finance Fellow. 10x #1 ranked Analyst.
Most analysts spend their careers learning to defend a view. The ones who compound capital learn to update one. The whole game is being able to change your mind faster than the market changes the facts.
Geoff Robinson MFM is the founder of TheInvestmentAnalyst.com, a global investment education business that trains buy‑side and sell‑side analysts, associates, and portfolio managers in more than fifty countries. He spent his career at the sharp end of equity research, most recently as a Managing Director at UBS, where he led the bank's Global Fundamental Analytics franchise and was ranked the number‑one analyst in the EMEA Institutional Investor Survey on ten separate occasions. While at UBS, Geoff designed and built the Research Academy, the firm's ed‑tech platform for training its global analyst base — an experience that shaped the methodology now sitting behind TIA.
Geoff is also a two‑times exited entrepreneur, having built and successfully sold two specialist training and analytics businesses, including a consultancy acquired by Fitch in 2013. He is one of only eight people worldwide to hold the Master of Financial Modelling (MFM) designation and is a Finance Fellow at Durham University Business School. Today he writes, speaks, and teaches on the practical craft of investment analysis — from financial modeling and valuation to accounting forensics, probabilistic thinking, and the behavioral edge that separates good analysts from great ones.
A career measured at the institutional level — not the classroom.
Twenty‑five years of equity research, analyst training, and ed‑tech, distilled into the methodology that powers the platform.
Six disciplines. One coherent craft.
Each programme is taught from the practitioner's chair — methodology drawn directly from twenty‑five years of equity research.
